LiUNA Goes the Distance for St. Joseph's Healthcare Foundation
St. Joseph Healthcare is a pillar of hope in the Hamilton Community, home to some of the best medical practitioners in North America. St Joe's holds a special place in my heart as I, as well as my children were born here. I have personally experienced the tremendous treatment St Joseph's offers which is why I was honoured to be named the 2018 Community Champion for the Around the Bay Road Race where Team LiUNA raised over $285 000 in support of St Joe's Healthcare Foundation. Thank you to all of the Supporters, Leaders, Runners, Walkers, Brothers and Sisters. We could not have done this without your support!! We went the distance and next year we hope you will join us.

induction to the Hamilton Gallery of distinction 2016
Joe Mancinelli’s lifelong commitment to organized labour and his hometown began at a young age. Born and raised in Hamilton, he spent his early summers working as a general labourer – his first connection to the trade union that would become his life’s work. Now International Vice-President of the Labourers International Union of North America (LiUNA) – Canada’s largest building trade union - Joe is leaving his mark on Hamilton in restored and revived buildings across town: LiUNA Station, the Lister Block and in new developments like Regina Gardens and Queen’s Garden. His service to Hamilton includes long-standing volunteerism with Hamilton Health Sciences, St. Joseph’s and many others.
